Pioneering a New Industry
Leading the Way to a Thriving Future for North Dakota
About Us
New Economic Frontier supports
unlocking North Dakota’s potential
through the power of legalization
We believe that legalizing adult-use cannabis is more than a policy change; it’s a transformative opportunity for our state. By embracing legalization, we can ignite economic growth, create smart regulation, and enhance access to medical cannabis. Our mission is to spark a movement that educates and inspires, fostering informed conversations around adult-use legalization and its benefits for our state and building strong community support.
Our Measure
Under this measure, adults 21 and older will be able to use cannabis at home without punishment – allowing possession of limited amounts of cannabis, broken down below:
- 1 ounce of cannabis
- 4 grams of concentrate
- 1500 milligrams of adult-use cannabinoid products (300 milligrams of this can be in the form of edible products)
- Ability to grow 3 plants per person over the age of 21 (Limit of 6 plants per household)
Did You Know?
This measure proposes conservative limits when compared to many adult-use states. Although surrounding states, such as Montana and Minnesota, have significantly higher limits, our measure takes a cautious and mindful approach to legalization. Our goal is to legalize adult-use cannabis responsibly, reflecting the values and needs of North Dakota communities.
Responsibility
The rules will remain the same – individuals participating in public use, driving under the influence, and sharing with minors will be punished.
Regulations
Cannabis businesses will be regulated responsibly by establishing a system of registered dispensaries, manufacturers, and testing laboratories.
Safety
Cannabis products in North Dakota will be tested for potency and screened for contaminants. Each product will be accurately tracked and labeled from seed to sale.
